VIP style Awards

The VIP Style Awards were held in the Shelbourne Hotel, in Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green last Friday night, and Dublin’s best loved TV personalities and socialites didn’t fail to impress. This is the one glamorous award ceremony where you can take risks, have fun with your outfits and channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw, and they did just that!
While standing together the Xpose team looked like they jumped out of a box of Quality Street, but at least they were all adventurous and true to their individual styles. The Xpose host Lorraine Keane was crowned Ireland’s most stylish woman! I don’t know if I’d agree with that, given some of the awful outfits she’s made wear while presenting the show. However, on the night she picked one of the hottest colours for spring and wore a deep purple number by Bridal designer Tamen Michael, looking her ever glamorous and groomed self.

Aisling O’Loughlin won best dressed of the night, in this peacock inspired dress. I am loving the top half bustier detail, but for me the tulle bottom is a little over the top! To me this dress would have been more show-stopping if it was cut just above the knee and made into a cocktail dress!
Although Karen Koster played it safe in a little black dress, she hit 2 key trends with popping-red, statement shoes (copies available in Topshop) and a one-shoulder detail on the dress.

Yvonne Keating looked stunning in a powder pink dress, with diamond embellished belt detail and ruffle detailing on the neck and base of the skirt. She and husband Ronan Keating won most stylish couple on the night and we can see why, she kept it classic and age-appropriate but had fun with a summery colour.
My personal winner of the night was Pippa O’Connor in a dazzling blue, empire line, silk chiffon gown. It was elegant with a twist, having the on-shoulder strap with embellished corsages on it, and keeping it stylish with smoky eyes, nude lips and a loose chignon bun and minimal silver jewelry.
And it wouldn’t quite be a review without my ‘oh dear what the hell were they thinking part?’.

So the worst-dressed award goes to Miriam Ahearn, she’s across between a flamenco dancer and big bird dyed black! The ruffles, dear god all the ruffles, this lady needs a crash course on how to dress for your body type. Yes black is slimming, but not with layers and layers of RUFFLES and detailing! One good thing she did was to accessorize with a red lip stick and nails and a cute red diamond bangle. But that’s the only compliment she’s getting!

Lorraine Keane won that award? Now i’ve heard it all. The most self obsessed, vapid and cheesy individual who has ever been on TV. And just look at the clobber she wears on that excuse they have for a “show” on TV. Seriously, if she is supposed to represent Ireland as far as fashion and personality go, then we’re in a very sorry state. Bubble-head is about the best thing that can be said about that idiot!

I’m sure that girls name is Karen Koster, how rude. Lorraine Keane was not a worthy winner.. though slim pickings I believe.. though I was fortunate only to see pics.

aaaw that is so harsh! I thought Lorraine Keane looked amazing at the TV awards the other night! she’s so naturally beautiful, she could put on a potato sack and still look amazing! And besides,,,she wore my jewellery on Xpose a couple of times and i couldn’t have asked for a better model!
