Come out from under your rock if you haven’t heard all the hype about the Oscars! Yesterday saw celebs gather at the Grey Goose pre Oscars party which took place in Soho House in West Hollywood last night. We will report back on all the style from the Oscars, for now take a look at who was getting warmed up at the pre Oscars party….

We start with Natalie Portman in a cutesy mini pleat skirt and black peep toe shoes. Not feeling the jacket Nat, sorry. How amazing does Eva Longoria look with her sleek hair and perfectly fitting shift dress and this seasons must have nude shoes. Anyone recognise Guy Pearce? The specs and shaved head threw us off the scent at first but we reckon this look actually suits him. Madge doesn’t always get it right but on this occasion she got it spot on. We love the coat, the shoes and the choice of nail varnish, thumbs up if you’re reading Madge!
British actress Carey Mulligan rocked in a tux style blazer and boyish short hair coupled with a distinct lack of jewellery and nude nails. When you look this good with short hair you don’t need to bother with the rest! Jennifer Lopez as always looked stunning and groomed to within an inch of her life. What we wouldn’t give to have her make-up team on hand 24/7. As for hubby Marc Anthony, well, let’s just say he looked as good as he could.

U.S. boutique Juicy Couture is set join the 55 designer outlet boutiques at Kildare Village this coming March. Founded in 1994 by Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Taylor, the label has established a huge celebrity following with the likes of Madonna, Eva Longoria, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

It’s not only the Juicy tracksuit the celebs favour, this season they have nailed the trench trend with Fergie, Naomi Watts and Eva Longoria all opting for the Juicy versions. Below we see this seasons Juicy take on the trench coat (short version pictured top), the military style jacket and the must have leather jacket, all of which are available at BT2.

You can expect to see the statement clothing adorned in the typical Juicy slogans including “Have a Juicy day”, “Peace, Love and Juicy” and “Some girls have all the Juicy” arrive on Monday, 22nd March. If you can’t wait that long to juice up your wardrobe then all looks pictured are available at BT2 now, having had a smooch around I can report they have a great and varied Juicy collection.

The fashion world are hailing Marc Jacobs an innovative genius for introducing the bunny ears to the fashion world… but they’ve been around for a long time, so where exactly did he get his inspiration from? There is of course the infamous Playboy bunny costume introduced by Hugh Hefner in the 1950’s and, instantly associates bunny ears with sex appeal.

Then, of course there is the return of the Cadbury’s Caramel Bunny, who’s new look and dress was designed by Top Brit Designer Giles Deacon this year. It is also being debated whether Maison Michel came up with the idea first or not? He had made lace headpieces of bunny ears and mouse ears too, and Marc admittedly came across the idea accidently when he saw someone with a large ribbon in their hair resembling ears.. So when Marc Jacobs’ Fall collection for Louis Vuitton came out this year (pictured bottom), and his models paraded the catwalk with bunny ears, was this fashion history in the making or a copycat idea?

Regardless of who thought it up first, as usual, celebrities are the first to take on this outlandish trend, no shocks that Lady Gaga and Madonna were one of the firsts to wear them in public. But now uber cool Olsen twins and singer Lily Allen have been seen taking on the trend too. I do think this look is actually really cute… but I really can’t see myself walking down Grafton street donning a pair of animal ears just yet? However, I also remember everyone initially laughing at leggings, skinny jeans, shoulder pads and structured skirts so maybe, just maybe this too will become known as “wearable”. Topshop have already begun to challenge the trend and have come up with their very own versions of slightly smaller headbands, so a little more normal, but I am still yet to see anyone actually wear them!
