Chanel‘s Beauty Director Peter Philips, launched their 2010 nail collection on the runways for Paris Fashion Week. This is not one to ‘gloss’ over (sorry, had to get that in!), as Chanel set the standard for our seasons nail trends. It was afterall Chanel that were the original creators of the black and dark varnish (Black Satin), with any self respecting fashionista painting their talons this colour for ’06, ’07 and indeed continuing to do so!
Well, here ye, here ye all… the new trend set by Chanel in the world of nails. It’s a kind of a mushroom, taupe colour subtle enough for day or evening. The colour is so inoffensive you won’t have to worry about your hands matching your clothes or if you’ve long or short nails! It will also be a more forgiving colour should it chip at an inappropriate time. We here at wow.ie give it the polished thumbs up but still have a soft spot for the darker more vampy colours.
Another colour from their runways was Le Vernis, a deep purple, which a lot of the bigger cosmetic brands are working this season. See our posts on MAC or Nail Trends to keep up to date with the latest nail colours.
