International Womens Day is this Sunday, 8th March.
The first ever International Womens Day was launched by Clara Zetkin on 19th March, 1911. New Zealand was the first country in the world to give women the right to vote on 19th September, 1893.
I.W.D. was finally given official recognition by the United Nations during International Women’s Year in 1975.
