Hair Extentions and Easy to use Clip Ins

New year new hairstyle… or not?? Why not save the tears and heartache of picking a new do and just buy new hair instead? Celebs are big fans of hair extensions with the likes of Paris Hilton going one step further and launching her own line of extensions.

This week I’m all about extra hair and cannot stress just how foolproof and easy it is to use. I love clip in hair extensions, they come in every hair colour imaginable and even if you change your colour they can also be dyed, once they’re human hair of course! This is an important factor when buying your clip ins, they NEED to be 100% human hair to be able to curl, GHD, dye and generally style them! Anything thats not 100% human hair is disasterous.

The clip ins are washed, treated and cared for like you would your own hair but only need to be washed after every third or fourth wear. They are so easy to apply and remove, transforming fine hair to full hair or bobs to bouncy curls in seconds. They are also great for adding hair to upstyles for weddings, balls etc… So I for one love them!

Hairextensions.ie have some great offers on at the salon if you want to spend more getting a professional job but also have a shop and on-line store to purchase clip ins. They have salons on Wicklow St, Dame St and Arnotts – 01 6339004. Their clip ins vary in price depending on the quality you go for and their plait hair bands start at around €10. They also offer a private on-line consultation if you click on their New Website. The Temple Hair and Beauty also match and cut them to suit your hair – 01 4902000. Cork Academy of Hairdressing would know where in Cork you could get this done. Shop around if you are going to have them professionally done.

Below is a simple video showing you how to put the hair extensions in yourself. Good luck!

Not a big fan of hair extensions, sorry!

  2. Sinead says:

Love the versatility of hair extensions. If they’re used properly can look natural and give a whole new look. Great to work into upstyles to give the illusion of fuller hair.

I’ve had extensions for 2 years and I’m addicted, I’d never go back to my own hair!
I have them put in every 3-4 months by the microrings method and nobody ever guesses unless I tell them!
Melissa from http://www.ourlittlesecret.ie does mine and I can’t recommend her enough :)

I had extensions applied in Hairspray (hairextensions.ie) and id warn everyone to stay away!!
I looked awful. I got professional opinions from other extension places and they said I should at the very least have got some of my money back and I was overcharged for half a head of hair (I had a mullet!!!). They refused to do anything and were really rude to me when I contacted them.
I’ve recently had them re done at another salon with the microring method and I love them, I wish I had done some research and shopped around in the first places cos from talking to people I’m not the first person to have a problem with Hairspray!

    What is microring?

Hi Geraldine (AKA.. our little secret)

Get over it with your Hairspray begrudery…

  7. shelly says:

I agree with you Geraldine – I did not even have extensions there but I find them rude in the shop and they over-charge for everything. They need more competition in the market!

love hair extensions! cant go out without them! recently got sick of my clip ins and went for weave in ones, which i found ok but thinned very easily…im looking into gettint the micro ring ones done now, but i was just wondering are they harsh on your hair like the glue in ones??
p.s bought my last set of clip ins at hairspray and i found them to be quite rude as well :S

Hi, In relation to hair extensions… you said it girl, they are the best thing since sliced pan. I have extremly thin hair and find it hard to get a good style in my hair. But now i have a whole new confidence wearing my extensions. The best thing about clip in ones is that they dont damage your hair either. I got mine in byrnes salon supplies in gorey for 27 euro per strip and last for ages. love love love them.

  10. Kellie says:

    Hey girls,
Microring extensions are great, they are like a little bead and it doesn’t damage your own hair. My sister did a course and now she does my extensions.
I’ve haerd bad things about hairspray- stay away!

    How handy!

I had my first extensions put in about a month ago. Microbeads from ourlittlesecret.ie. Melissa made mine and they are gorgeous. So far I have only lost one (doesn’t show at all) and I had my hair cut to blend in and the hairdresser was wildly impressed with them. I LOVE them. Much easier to keep than expected, highly addictive. Definitely worth the money.
