The Neutrogena Wave Power Clenser (www.neutrogenawave.com) was launched late last year with a lot of hype. Most of these gimmick cleansers and gadgets tend not to deliver and after a few tries of using them they end up in the bottom drawer of the dresser, never to see the light of day again.

However, I think that this product will be around for a while. A disposable pad infused with some Neutrogena cleansing product is attached to the head of the power cleanser (you get 14 of these pads with the cleanser), moisten with some running water and turn on the power cleanser. You then gently massage your face while the power cleanser vibrates.

Neutrogena claim that these vibrations help to open skin pores and so aid a deeper clean. I agree that my skin did feel softer and smoother after using this product. I use a Neutrogena cleanser as my regular cleanser and find that it suits me well so this may be part of the reason why the power cleanser works well for me. I liked that it could be used in the shower as this was handy and convenient. don’t expect this product to be a substitute for a facial or even to provide as deep a clean as the Shiseido Cleansing Massage Brush, for example, but it is good for use on a daily basis to ensure that your skin is getting a proper cleanse. This product is meant to replace your daily cleanser and at €15 is certainly worth a try.
