Ever wanted to make your own dress? Well here’s your chance to learn how at Crafternoon Tea! Re-dress.ie are running a one day ‘Beginners Design Crash Course’ on Saturday, 20th March at the Smock Alley Cafe on Essex Street West in Temple Bar. Here you will be given a crash course in design, patterns and altering clothes you already have but need updating. This is all very recession friendly and no doubt it will be a great afternoon. They are running other courses so check out the link if this is your thing. Tickets are €80 and available from tickets@re-dress.ie. Should you go along let us know how you get on.
Re-dress.ie have a great ethical approach to fashion which is something I personally champion. Images above are from Bokin’s collection (which I discovered on re-dress.ie). Bodkin was named the inaugural recipient of the Ecco Domani Sustainable Design Award in 2009. Designer Eviana Hartman is also a writer and was the fashion features editor at NYLON, fashion writer at Vogue and Teen Vogue, and the founding columnist of EcoWise in The Washington Post. With credentials like that she is no happy hippy tree hugger but a seriously talented designer.
Back to the crash course for those less experienced in the world of design!
